Our client is currently expanding its commercial team and is hiring a Product Specialist who will report to the Director. In this role, you will manage a defined portfolio of food products and will be responsible to grow sales.
POSITION SUMMARY :
As a Product Specialist you will work on the key aspects of products’ distribution namely: supply & sales as well as marketing. You will collaborate with the Supply Chain Department and the Sales Team and your key responsibilities will be:
Ensure that your products are available for purchase and ensure the liaison with suppliers.
Prepare product orders for the manufacturer; adjust your orders relative to products’ sales and stock levels.
Ensure that the products are listed.
Grow sales of your products through activations & promotions.
Implement marketing activities for your products.
Follow competitors’ activities and have an excellent knowledge of market trends.
Ensure that your products have a good price/market position relative to competitors and monitor sales of your products.
Manage the company’s relationship with our suppliers that are international food brands.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Stock management i.e. Sales forecast and Orders
Line extensions
Growth of existing product lines
Supplier relationship and reporting
Creation, implementation and monitoring of marketing strategies
Marketing budget management
Portfolio profitability
Market trends and competition monitoring
In-store activations
Monthly promotions
REQUIREMENTS/MUST-HAVES :
Tertiary Diploma in related field
2/3 years of Supply Chain, Strategy, Brand Management or Finance background; or 2/3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Commercial field
Good Microsoft Office skills, proficiency in Excel
Analytical skills and attention to details
Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Fluent in French and English
Ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure
Team spirit
