Senior Investment Officer Professional

deVere Investment now require a ‘Senior Investment Officer’ within our Mauritius office based in Cybercity, Ebene. Candidates must reside currently in Mauritius

Main duties:

• profiling of client investment needs and wealth management;
• Provide expertise advice to clients on investment decisions, balancing clients investment objective and investment risks and how to best preserve value
• Manage clients' portfolios by proposing customised investment products to match their personal investment objectives
• Liaise with sub-advisers in other jurisdictions for the company’s portfolio of clients
• Advise on Diverse range of investment products and maximise return on investment through the capitalisation of investment opportunities and development of asset under management
• Establish professional relationships and liaise with asset managers and custodians;
• Attend invest committee, deliver presentations and hold regular meetings
• Be responsible for designing and updating procedures for investment advisory operations

Work experience and skills required:

• Degree holder in Banking and Finance courses with emphasis on finance, capital markets, financial services, business administration, financial planning from a recognised institution. Relevant Professional Qualifications such as CFA or CISI will be an advantage.
• At least 4 years in investment business.
• General principles of fund management and fund management products
• Knowledge of securities transactions and local securities legal framework
• Numerate and analytical; capable of evaluating financial information
• Accurate and methodical and deadline-efficient
• Dynamic, Adaptability and resilience
• Commitment, assertiveness and ownership of tasks
• English Communication skills – both oral and written
• Advanced Excel Skills
